Jeff Miller
Head Instructor
Jeff Miller began
studying Asian martial arts in 1987. He holds the rank of Yodan (4th
degree black belt) in Judo, and Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in Jujitsu.
He has been the Head Instructor (Sensei) of Acadian Judo, and has been
teaching Judo to both children and adults since 1993. Sensei Jeff, as he
is known, is certified as a national-level referee, kata judge, and
coach, and is the founding Chair of the USJA Technical Official
Committee. As a competitor, Jeff has won multiple Louisiana State Championships
and has competed in numerous local regional and national tournaments. As
a coach, he has produced champions at both the state and national level.
Mr. Miller holds Bachelor degrees in both Health and Physical Education,
and Mathematics. He is married with one son and 3 dogs.

Dave Shorey
Assistant Instructor

Sensei Dave has been
studying Judo since 1989, and currently holds the rank of Nidan (2nd
degree black belt). He is a certified referee and coach. As a competitor,
he is a former Louisiana State Champion and two time state Goshinjitsu
Kata champion. He has also coached numerous state championship
competitors. He owns and runs his own insurance agency in New Iberia,
Louisiana, and holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. He has two children who also play Judo.

Angel Geraci
Assistant Instructor
Sensei Angel began studying
Judo in 2003 and currently holds the rank of Shodan (1st degree black
belt). She is a certified referee, kata instructor and coach, and has
been coaching children's judo since 2003. As a competitor, she is a
former Louisiana State Champion, and has fought in numerous regional and
national level tournaments. In addition to Judo, she also studies Kentai
Aikido and Ketsugo Ju Jitsu. She holds a Bachelor's degree in
Microbiology, is completing her Master's in Environmental and Evolutionary
Biology and has been teaching at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette for the
past two years. She has two fish and many lab specimens.
